And all manner of things wibbly woo
Sep. 11th, 2013 09:01 pmI've been wondering for the last few months what the Next Church will be like. I have a feeling that I'm either going to go Very High (but not Forward in Farce, thank you very much) or Very Low (if so, Quaker).
I also suspect that my vocal impostor syndrome is going to kick in like whoa and I will be too scared to join a new choir, but actually I don't think it would kill me to not be in a choir for a bit. Certainly Evensong is wearing me out at the moment, and we've only been back a week.
I only remembered just now that, nearly six years ago when I moved to Guildford I got lost on the way to the cathedral on my first Sunday (it was dark, OK?) and fell into my perfect church. I've been going to it ever since. I suppose I can stop worrying about that one, then. My perfect church will also exist in Cambridge.
ETA: and if I hate my parish church, I don't have to go to it. Even if I just mildly dislike it, I don't have to go to it. Thank you, four years of church-commuting!
